Subcontract Engineer

Our client is a globally recognized construction company specializing in large-scale infrastructure, building projects, and industrial facilities. They are currently leading the renovation of Camp Nou, one of the most iconic stadiums in the world.

ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Subcontract Engineer to join our project team. The Subcontract Engineer will be responsible for managing subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and supporting the successful delivery of construction activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements in alignment with project specifications, budget, and timelines.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, safety regulations, and project deadlines.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to identify, evaluate, and select qualified subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess subcontractor progress, address on-site challenges, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Review and approve subcontractor invoices and claims, verifying accuracy and compliance with agreements.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to subcontractor performance and contract management.

• Identify potential risks associated with subcontract agreements and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication of contractual changes, variations, and amendments.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• English B2.
• Minimum 5 of experience in subcontract management within the construction industry.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
