A forward-thinking and innovative Academy in Ealing is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to explore the past, develop their critical thinking skills, and foster a lifelong appreciation for history.

About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, focusing on GCSE curriculum requirements.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of historical periods, themes, and sources, encouraging students to develop their historical knowledge, understanding, and skills.
- Facilitate student-led research projects, debates, and presentations, encouraging critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills.
- Assess student progress through written assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the History curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current historical scholarship and best practices in history education.
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as history clubs, historical site visits, and participation in history competitions, to enhance student learning and provide opportunities for students to explore their interests.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in History or a related field.
- Experience teaching History to GCSE level, with a focus on historical knowledge, understanding, and skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A passion for fostering a love of history and developing critical thinking skills in young people.
- Knowledge of a range of historical periods, themes, and sources.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.
