Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance
A highly motivated and dedicated SEN Teacher is required to join a thriving and inclusive SEN school in Bristol. This school is known for its outstanding support for students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, and complex learning needs. Your Role as an SEN Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of SEN students.
- Differentiate teaching materials to suit a variety of learning abilities and communication styles.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to provide holistic support for students.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence.
- Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Engage with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A qualified SEN Teacher with experience working with students with additional needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient teaching approach.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Experience using alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS) is an advantage.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.
- An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
