About the Role:

• Deliver engaging English lessons to Key Stage 4 students, focusing on developing their skills in reading, writing, and critical analysis.
• Plan and deliver lessons that incorporate a variety of literary texts and writing styles.
• Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies within the English department.
• Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as book clubs and writing workshops, promoting student engagement and fostering a love of literature.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate English skills and perspectives into the wider curriculum.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in English Literature and Language.
• Experience teaching English to Key Stage 4 students, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate boys.
• A strong understanding of literary analysis and writing techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for engaging young minds in the study of English.
• A commitment to promoting boys' achievement in English.
