What You’ll Be Doing
As a Year 1 Teacher, your role will involve:
- Planning and Delivering Inspiring Lessons: Design and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge Year 1 students, following the National Curriculum and incorporating creative learning methods.
- Fostering a Positive Learning Environment: Create a classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
- Tracking and Supporting Progress: Monitor students' academic and personal progress, setting goals and providing feedback that helps them grow and thrive.
- Encouraging Independence and Confidence: Support students in developing key skills such as independence, problem-solving, and social interaction, preparing them for the next stage of their education.
- Collaborating with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers and support staff to share best practices and deliver a cohesive, engaging curriculum.
- Engaging with Parents and Guardians: Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed and involved in their child’s learning and development.
- Contributing to the School Community: Be an active member of the school’s vibrant community, participating in school events, activities, and initiatives that enhance students' learning experiences.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher who:
- Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
- Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly in Year 1.
- Has a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire young learners.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and is able to deliver lessons that are both engaging and accessible to all students.
- Is creative and flexible, with a commitment to creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Has a team player mindset, eager to collaborate with colleagues to deliver the best outcomes for students.
