VP Merchant Development

Summary:

This VP role is crucial for expanding Merchant and Partner relations, directly

impacting our sales strategy. It lays the groundwork for core operations and

future growth. You will drive sales growth in new markets through strategic

planning, market analysis, relationship management, and innovation. With your

leadership, Instabee will not only enter new markets but also thrive and achieve

sales targets.

You will lead the commercial agenda for operational excellence, ensuring a

seamless merchant experience in our customer solutions. This role focuses on

maximizing sales opportunities in international accounts and promoting

collaboration across borders.

About the Role

In this role, you will take on a critical operational function at Instabee, driving our

growth initiatives through direct engagement with merchants and the

management of key accounts together with different parts of the organization.

You will be responsible for defining our vision and strategy, ensuring effective

execution, and maximizing impact through systematic approaches. We prioritize

speed, flexibility, and innovation while establishing a robust framework for growth

Our mission is to create value for e-commerce merchants, enhance their

success, and benefit our company and all end users.

Your Future Team

You will drive sales, commercial goals, and operational results across all our

markets, working both strategically and operationally with our local sales teams

to achieve goals together with them.

This role requires strong collaboration skills with stakeholders and involves

recruiting and developing talent in line with the company’s growth objectives.

You will report directly to Instabee’s new Chief Growth Officer.

What you’ll be doing

  • Strategic Leadership: Design and implement an effective management

system and key performance indicators (KPIs) to grow and realize the

strategy for our global Merchant and Partner Business, while taking

personal responsibility for maximizing market potential.

  • Account Management: Oversee the management of key strategic

accounts and lead acquisition efforts cross-border. You will play an active role in building relationships to ensure commercial excellence and drive growth, including establishing best practices and effective operational methods.

  • Organizational Development: Recruit and train both local and central

teams to excel in their roles and cultivate an innovative and success

culture. Serve as an internal advocate for our merchants highlighting

their needs and the potential opportunities you recognize for them in our

expanding and competitive market.

  • Business Development: Take charge of new business development and

prospecting, negotiation, and the closing of complex opportunities,

particularly those with significant cross-border potential, while guiding

and facilitating your team as well as important stakeholders throughout

the entire process.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making:Leverage data and insights to drive

informed decision-making and deepen your understanding of merchant

behavior and needs. As a leader, empower your team to enhance

services and refine pricing strategies, fostering business development in

this key area.

More About You

  • Experience: 10+ years in sales and commercial excellence within

enterprise sales with technical integration and a B2B2C model. A market

that demands proven leadership in navigating complex environments and

managing cross-functional teams in matrix organization.

  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with excellent communication and presentation skills to inspire and influence

stakeholders.

Commercial and Technical Knowledge: A commercial mindset with

sufficient technical knowledge for effective sales discussions,

understanding product capabilities as well as client needs.

  • Growth Focus: Familiarity with management systems, strategies and

tools for driving growth, including data analytics, customer feedback, and

market research.

  • Education: Degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
