An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a highly regarded Independent School in Norwich from Easter 2025. The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic and well-resourced Science department, delivering high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at KS5. The department is led by an experienced and supportive head of faculty, ensuring teachers have all the resources and guidance they need to thrive.
This is an ideal role for either an experienced Science Teacher looking for a new challenge or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive school in which to complete their induction. The school fosters a collaborative culture, encouraging teachers to develop professionally and engage in continuous learning.
The Role and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
- Teach a specialist Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) up to KS5
- Contribute to the ongoing success of a high-achieving Science department
- Use a variety of teaching methods to support student progress and engagement
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and take part in extracurricular Science-related activities

Requirements
- A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent)

- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students
- The right to work in the UK
