PPA Cover Teacher Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons for classes across various year groups (KS1/KS2) during PPA time.
• Implement effective teaching strategies to ensure continuity of learning and maintain high standards.
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, enthusiasm, and a love for learning.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure smooth transitions and effective teaching.
• Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians about student progress.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and any other school-related activities.

PPA Cover Teacher Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally across both KS1 and KS2.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
• A team-oriented approach and flexibility to work collaboratively in a school environment.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and educational best practices.
