About the Role:

  • Utilise a range of teaching methods and resources, including advanced practical experiments, data analysis, and research projects, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Chemistry curriculum and resources, integrating advanced chemical concepts and research findings.
  • Foster a love of chemistry in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to chemistry and scientific research.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, including advanced topics.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5, including A-Level.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry examinations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students.
  • A passion for chemistry and a commitment to fostering scientific inquiry.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
