About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Art lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of artistic interests and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and digital art, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Art and Design examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and resources, ensuring it is inclusive and reflects the diverse artistic interests of our students.
  • Foster a love of art in students, encouraging them to develop their artistic skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to art, including exhibitions, workshops, and gallery visits.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and Design.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Art and Design examinations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and artistic skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all artistic abilities.
  • A passion for art and a commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
