Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons, aligning with the National Curriculum and ensuring students make significant progress.

  • Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear goals for growth.
  • Implement creative teaching strategies to engage Year 5 students and foster critical thinking and independence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a rich, varied curriculum that supports both academic and personal development.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and addressing any concerns.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Year 5 or another Key Stage 2 year group.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging classroom that encourages student success.
