Role: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)

A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Havering is looking for a passionate and experienced SENCO to lead and develop its special educational needs provision. Role Highlights:
- Full-time, permanent position at a welcoming SEN school in Havering
- Lead and manage the school’s SEN provision, working closely with staff, families, and external agencies
- Oversee the identification, assessment, and support of students with a range of special educational needs
- Ensure EHCPs are effectively implemented and reviewed, ensuring the best possible outcomes for students
- Provide training, support, and guidance to teachers and support staff on best practices for SEN teaching
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership to develop and improve whole-school SEN strategies
- Promote an inclusive, nurturing, and aspirational learning environment for all students
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)
- Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, EHCP processes, and intervention strategies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A collaborative and proactive approach to supporting students and staff
- Enhanced DBS check required
