Role: Deputy SENCO

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Haringey is looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy SENCO to join their team as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to support the leadership of the school’s SEN provision, ensuring that all students with additional needs receive the tailored support they require to thrive.
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, permanent position at a vibrant primary school in Haringey
- Support the SENCO in managing and delivering high-quality SEN provision across the school
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs
- Assist in the assessment, monitoring, and tracking of progress for students with SEN
- Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive teaching strategies and SEN best practices
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students
- Contribute to SEN policy development and ensure compliance with SEN legislation
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEN students, ideally in a primary school setting
- A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching approaches
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families
- NASENCO qualification (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable
- Enhanced DBS check required
