A friendly and welcoming specialist school is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team in April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can make a real impact on students with special educational needs, providing them with the tailored support they need to succeed.
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, permanent position at a friendly specialist school
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to students with a variety of SEN
- Work closely with a supportive team of professionals to create and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Use creative and effective teaching strategies to cater to the diverse needs of students
- Promote inclusion, confidence, and independence in the classroom
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support
- Track and monitor student progress, ensuring targeted interventions are in place
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a specialist setting
- A strong understanding of SEND frameworks, IEPs, and inclusive teaching practices
- Ability to differentiate lessons and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Enhanced DBS check required
