This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2025.

About the PE Department:

We encourage students to participate in competitive sports, develop their leadership skills, and represent the school at local and national events.

About the Role:

  • Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at GCSE and A Level depending on experience and interest.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Coach school sports teams and lead extracurricular sports clubs.
  • Organise and participate in sports competitions and events.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles and physical fitness.
  • Contribute to the department's development and resource creation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education.
  • Demonstrates a passion for sports and coaching.
  • Has strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for PE.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
