About the Computer Science Teacher Role

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join our dedicated Computing department. The successful Computer Science Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3-5, inspiring students with engaging lessons and cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities of the Computer Science Teacher:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore Computer Science concepts and develop their computational thinking skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress in Computer Science, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Contribute to the development of the Computer Science curriculum and departmental resources.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Computer Science and integrate new technologies into the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Computer Science teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary level.
• A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Computer Science.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• A passion for Computer Science and a commitment to inspiring students.
