We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Teacher (Part-Time) to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis from March 2025.

Role Overview

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, ensuring that all pupils are engaged, motivated, and making excellent progress. This part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity for an educator seeking flexibility while still making a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and well-structured lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and inspired to learn.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Promote curiosity, independent learning, and a growth mindset among pupils.

Pupil Progress & Assessment

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform lesson planning and targeted support.
  • Provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents to support learning and development.
  • Work with colleagues and leadership to implement interventions where necessary.

Classroom & Behaviour Management

  • Set high expectations for behaviour and maintain a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Implement school behaviour policies effectively to promote a culture of responsibility and mutual respect.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and share best practices.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities where required.
  • Engage with parents and carers to build strong home-school partnerships that support pupil progress.

School Contribution

  • Participate in school activities, trips, and events to enhance the learning experience.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, supporting whole-school initiatives and values.
  • Uphold the school’s ethos and act as a positive role model for pupils.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 3.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a part-time or job-share teaching role.
  • Understanding of SEND and EAL teaching strategies.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives.
