About the History & Geography Teacher Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History & Geography Teacher to join our high-achieving Humanities department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach both History & Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with a passion for these fascinating subjects.

Responsibilities of the History & Geography Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated History & Geography lessons that cater to a range of learning styles.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore History & Geography and develop their critical thinking skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress in History & Geography, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Contribute to the development of the History & Geography curriculum and departmental resources.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of History & Geography teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in History, Geography, or a related field.
• Experience teaching History & Geography at the secondary level.
• A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for History & Geography.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for History & Geography and a commitment to inspiring students.
