Your Role as a Year 2 Teacher

As our new Year 2 Teacher, you will:
✅ Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support the transition from Year 1 to Year 2, following the KS1 curriculum.
✅ Create a warm and inclusive classroom where all children feel supported and encouraged to learn.
✅ Develop early reading, writing, and numeracy skills using effective and engaging teaching strategies.
✅ Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to help all children succeed.
✅ Foster a love of learning and curiosity about the world in your students.
✅ Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to enhance each child’s educational journey.
✅ Collaborate with the KS1 team to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the year group.

What We’re Looking For

✔ A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
✔ Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in a Year 2 setting.
✔ A strong understanding of early childhood development and effective phonics teaching strategies.
✔ A creative and engaging teaching style that excites and motivates young learners.
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to collaborate.
✔ A commitment to creating an inclusive and high-achieving learning environment.
