We are looking for a visionary and driven Head of Science to lead our Science department in the West Midlands starting this September. As Head of Science, you will play a key role in inspiring a love of science across all key stages, from Key Stage 3 to A-Level, while ensuring high academic standards are met by all students.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Science include:

• Provide strategic leadership for the Science department, overseeing a team of dedicated Science teachers.
• Develop and implement an innovative Science curriculum that fosters student curiosity and high achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress in Science, implementing targeted strategies for improvement.
• Promote and lead CPD for Science staff, ensuring continuous improvement in teaching quality.
• Manage departmental resources effectively, including laboratories and equipment.
• Maintain strong links with local STEM businesses and organisations.

We Require a Head of Science who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Has significant leadership experience in Science education.
• Possesses a degree in Science or a related subject.
• Demonstrates strong communication and leadership skills.
• Is passionate about inspiring students to achieve in Science.
