Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the History & Politics department, ensuring high academic standards
  • Teach History & Politics across KS3, KS4, and KS5, inspiring students through engaging and challenging lessons
  • Oversee curriculum development, departmental strategy, and staff mentoring
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, fostering critical thinking and debate
  • Organise academic enrichment activities, such as guest lectures, historical site visits, and political discussions

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in History, Politics, or a related subject
  • PGCE or QTS
  • Proven experience teaching History & Politics at KS5
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in curriculum development or departmental leadership
  • Passion for academic excellence and the ability to inspire students and colleagues alike
