About the Role:

  • Foster a love of learning and encourage students to explore biological concepts and theories with curiosity and enthusiasm.
  • Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that align with the school's vision and the latest advancements in biology education.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and challenged to reach their full potential.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students, promoting a growth mindset and a belief in their scientific abilities.
  • Play an active role in the department, including contributing to curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental meetings.
  • Participate in whole-school events and initiatives, fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community.

  • A qualified Biology Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and fostering their understanding of biological concepts and processes.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for biology, with a strong understanding of key biological principles, theories, and practical skills.
  • Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
