What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of both History and Geography and a commitment to providing high-quality education. The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent).
• Experienced in teaching both History and Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching either subject at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is desirable but not essential. 
• Passionate about History and Geography and able to inspire students of all abilities.
• An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
• Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of learning in both History and Geography.
• A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community.
• Dedicated to their own professional development.
• A capable History and Geography Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging History and Geography lessons across the relevant Key Stages.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, enquiry, and a deep understanding of both subjects.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school.
• Contribute to the development of the History and Geography curricula.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Ensure all pupils are safe and feel included.
