About the Role:

  • Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and interest.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including interactive whiteboards, technology, and manipulatives, to bring Mathematics to life for students.
  • Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
  • Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and resources, ensuring that our Maths curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
  • Foster a love of Maths in students, encouraging them to explore the applications of mathematics in the world around them.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Maths education.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Is supportive of the school's Christian ethos and values.
