About the Role:
- Teach Chemistry at A Level, inspiring and challenging students to deepen their understanding of chemical concepts and applications.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Support students in preparing for their A Level Chemistry examinations, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to succeed.
- Guide students in conducting independent research and completing challenging coursework, fostering their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Chemistry curriculum remains relevant, challenging, and engaging.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the college to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Chemistry education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Chemistry.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching Chemistry and a commitment to student success.
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the A Level Chemistry specifications and assessment requirements.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
