Are you a passionate and inspiring Teacher of English with a desire to foster a love of language and literature in young minds? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our thriving English department in a sixth form college in Westminster.

About the English Department:

About the Role:

  • Teach English Language and/or English Literature at A Level.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Support students in preparing for their A Level English examinations.
  • Provide guidance and feedback on students' written work and coursework.
  • Foster a love of English and inspire students to pursue their interests in literature and language.
  • Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the college.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in English Language and/or English Literature.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching English and a commitment to student success.
  • Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Has a good understanding of the A Level English specifications.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
