KS1 Teacher Position - High Achieving School in Barking

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teacher for a high-achieving 2-form entry school in Barking, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

KS1 Teacher Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in line with the National Curriculum for KS1.
  • Support students in building strong literacy and numeracy skills, ensuring readiness for Key Stage 2.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear learning targets.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love for learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities as required.

KS1 Teacher Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and KS1 assessments.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team-oriented approach and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and best teaching practices.
