About the Role

A leading Independent school in Brent is looking for a Design & Technology Teacher to join their successful faculty. This part-time, permanent role starts in April 2025, providing an opportunity to teach DT up to KS5, developing students' technical and creative abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach DT across KS3, KS4, and KS5, fostering creativity and technical expertise
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level coursework, ensuring they develop confidence in design thinking
  • Encourage students to apply engineering principles, sustainability, and problem-solving strategies
  • Work collaboratively to refine and develop the DT curriculum
  • Support extracurricular activities such as technology clubs, design challenges, and STEM events

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • PGCE or QTS
  • Experience teaching DT up to KS5
