Teacher of Physical Education - Sports-Focused Academy in West London

Inspire a love of movement and dance! We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Physical Education to join our dynamic and successful PE department in a sports-focused academy in West London. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in April 2025.

We offer a diverse and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of sports and physical activities. We have excellent facilities, including a dance studio, sports hall, and extensive playing fields.

About the Role:

  • Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Choreograph and teach dance routines in a variety of styles.
  • Lead extracurricular dance clubs and activities.
  • Organize and participate in school sports competitions and dance performances.
  • Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
  • Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our PE curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
  • Foster a love of Physical Education in students, encouraging them to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in PE education.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education with a specialism in Dance.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching PE and a commitment to student success.
  • Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for PE.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
