What You’ll Be Doing
- Teaching and inspiring Year 6 pupils, preparing them for their transition to secondary school with engaging lessons across the curriculum, especially in English, Maths, and Science.
- Developing students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and independence to help them become confident, capable learners.
- Using assessment to inform your teaching, ensuring that each child makes the most of their final year in primary school and is prepared for the challenges ahead.
- Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and motivated to reach their full potential.
- Supporting pupils with their transition to secondary school, addressing both academic and emotional needs as they prepare for the next stage of their education.
- Working closely with colleagues, parents, and leadership to provide the best learning experience and ensure every child is supported in their individual journey.
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent), with experience in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6.
- Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and the skills needed to guide students towards their next educational stage.
- A passion for preparing children for the next stage of their learning, instilling confidence and resilience in your students.
- The ability to create engaging, challenging, and inspiring lessons that foster a love for learning.
