Year 2 Teacher - Inclusive Waltham Forest School

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 2 Teacher for a wonderful 2-form entry school in Waltham Forest, starting in April 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to enjoy learning.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback and setting clear targets for development.
  • Foster the development of critical thinking skills, independence, and creativity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver a cohesive and effective curriculum.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school activities as required.

Year 2 Teacher Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (preferably Year 2).
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.
  • Passion for creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible, team-oriented approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of teaching.
