An outstanding primary school in Wandsworth is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant SENCo to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and contributing to the development of an inclusive and high-quality learning environment.

Role Highlights:

  • Full-time, permanent position at a well-regarded primary school in Wandsworth
  • Assist the SENCo in the development and implementation of SEN provision across the school
  • Support the planning and delivery of tailored interventions and teaching strategies for students with SEN
  • Work closely with class teachers, SEN support staff, and external professionals to ensure effective support is in place for each student
  • Help monitor and assess student progress, ensuring individual needs are met and adapting approaches accordingly
  • Assist in the preparation of individual education plans (IEPs) and contribute to regular reviews
  • Be an advocate for inclusive education, promoting equality and access to learning for all students

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience in education (preferred)
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs in a primary school setting
  • A passion for supporting inclusive education and helping students achieve their full potential
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Experience with SEN assessments, interventions, and IEP development (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS check required
