About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including improvisation, script work, and performance techniques, to bring drama to life.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Drama curriculum and resources.
  • Foster a love of drama and performance in students, encouraging them to develop their confidence and creativity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to school productions and extracurricular drama activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Drama and Theatre Studies.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and performance skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • A passion for drama and a commitment to fostering creativity.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
