About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
- Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including improvisation, script work, and performance techniques, to bring drama to life.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
- Contribute to the development of the Drama curriculum and resources.
- Foster a love of drama and performance in students, encouraging them to develop their confidence and creativity.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to school productions and extracurricular drama activities.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Drama and Theatre Studies.
- Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and performance skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- A passion for drama and a commitment to fostering creativity.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
