Litigation Paralegal

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour Job description: Note: This is a full-time position and requires employees to be on-site five days a week at our client's Overland Park, KS office. Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have 2+ years of civil litigation defense experience (medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, or wrongful death preferred). Job Description Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys handling litigation defense matters Manage case files from start to finish, including organization, deadlines, and billing Review and analyze medical records and other evidence Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of regulations, case law, and depositions Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witness coordination Maintain direct communication with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as calendaring and document filing Qualifications 2+ years of civil litigation defense experience required (medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, wrongful death) Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate a plus Strong knowledge of court rules, filing procedures, and case management Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Why This Is a Great Opportunity Direct exposure to civil litigation defense and trial work alongside experienced attorneys Potential for contract roles to convert into permanent employment Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, disability, 401k, PTO, wellness programs, and more) Join a firm with a proven record of success and supportive, team-oriented culture JPC-412 Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance
