Our client is seeking an experienced Grant Development Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the full lifecycle of federal and state grant submissions. Grants are the organization's primary funding source, making this a highly visible and mission‑critical role. This position does not perform primary grant writing. Instead, it leads the process, manages internal and external contributors, and ensures all submissions meet government standards, compliance expectations, and deadlines. The company partners with a third‑party government contracting/grant specialist who handles grant identification, technical reviews, and compliance checks. The PM serves as the internal owner who pulls all pieces together. A key requirement for this role is hands‑on experience using NetSuite to support grant budgeting, reporting, and coordination with Finance. No Visa Sponsorship Contract Duration: TBD | W2 Work Schedule: Part-time Location: Remote (U.S. Based) Requirements: Prepare leadership updates on grant status, risks, and upcoming deadlines. Identify process gaps and implement improvements to streamline future submissions. Lead and manage the full grant development and submission process across multiple stakeholders. Oversee external grant writers and internal contributors, ensuring alignment, quality, and timely delivery. Review narrative drafts, budgets, supporting documents, and compliance materials to ensure they meet federal and state requirements. Serve as the internal point of coordination with the company's third‑party government contracting specialist. Drive the creative and narrative direction of proposals, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and alignment with funding priorities. Maintain project plans, timelines, deliverables, and communication channels for all active grant opportunities. Ensure all materials reflect the organization's mission, technical capabilities, and strategic objectives. Use NetSuite daily to: Pull budget-to-actuals, Review cost centers and historical spending, Support grant budget development and Coordinate with Finance on reporting and compliance. Qualifications (Must-Haves) Strong communication, editing, and review skills. Hands‑on experience with NetSuite (not just familiarity) Experience working with government agencies or federally funded programs. Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder grant submissions. Strong understanding of what high‑quality grant writers should produce, including narrative structure, compliance elements, and government‑facing expectations. Ability to lead the creative process and guide writers toward compelling, fundable proposals. Exceptional project management skills, including timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and document control. Ability to work independently and manage a part‑time workload with fluctuating intensity. Bachelor's degree preferred (Public Administration, Communications, English, Business, or related field). Equivalent experience accepted. 5+ years of experience in grant writing, grant management, or federal funding proposal development. Preferred Skills: Experience with multi‑year grant portfolios or capital‑intensive industries. Experience supporting organizations in technical, industrial, scientific, or engineering‑related fields. Familiarity with federal grant portals, compliance frameworks, and reporting requirements. Prior experience collaborating with external consultants or government contracting specialists.
