Lead Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer to join our team in Chicago, IL. As the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical engineering projects, from design and planning to installation and maintenance. You will work closely with our project managers, technicians, and clients to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage all aspects of mechanical engineering projects, including design, planning, budgeting, and scheduling. - Coordinate with project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. - Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide technical expertise. - Design and develop HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for commercial and industrial buildings. - Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations. - Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. - Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians. - Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. - Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering. - Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the HVAC, plumbing, or piping industry. - Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and codes. - Proficient in AutoCAD and other engineering software. - Excellent project management and organizational skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
