Video Editor (DO - 08202024 - PTVE)

Position: Video Editor Number of hours: 20 hours/week Schedule: PST Tasks required: Manipulate and edit videos in a way that is invisible to the audience Take a brief to grasp clients needs and specifications Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects Create rough and final cuts Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency Other ad hoc tasks that would be assigned Requirements : Must have 1 year of experience as a Video Editor Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects or Final Cut) Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles as well as effective social media video formatting and composition Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines Exhibit strong work ethic and initiative Clear and concise communicator with effective verbal and written communication skills Self-disciplined and organized; able to consistently hit daily and monthly targets with limited supervision
