Financially Focused Developer (GD - 12042025 - FTFFD)

Position: Financially Focused Developer Number of hours: 40 hours/week Schedule: UK Timezone Tasks required: Design, build, and maintain a Python/SQL-based portfolio reporting tool . Develop and optimize loan reporting and monitoring systems for internal and client use. Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from multiple financial data sources. Implement robust back-end systems to support analytics and performance dashboards. Work closely with finance and investment teams to define and automate financial metrics and reporting requirements. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all systems. Identify process automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions. Support system maintenance, debugging, and ongoing enhancements. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in software development, ideally in financial or data-driven environments. Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, SQLAlchemy, etc.) and SQL (query optimization, data modeling). Proven experience building financial or loan reporting/monitoring systems . Strong understanding of financial metrics , such as portfolio returns, loan performance indicators, and risk measures. Background in investment management , banking , or fintech is a PLUS Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar). Familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Knowledge of data visualization , automation , and financial data modeling .
