Web Developer/Designer

Position: Web Developer/Designer Number of hours: 20 hours/week Schedule: Eastern Time - US & Canada Tasks: Meet with the client to discuss website design and function Design and build the website using SquareSpace or Wix Create the website architecture Design and manage the website back-end including database and server integration Generate themes and plugins Conduct website performance tests Troubleshoot content issues Monitor the performance of the live website Other ad hoc tasks to be assigned Requirements: Proven work experience as a web developer or relevant experience Knowledge in web programming specifically using SquareSpace and/or Wix Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS Top-notch knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytical tools Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques
