Business Development Officer (Sales Expert) Reports To: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) Location: Victoria Island (VI), Lagos Work Mode: Hybrid Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Industry: Real Estate / Construction Salary: ₦300,000 – ₦400,000 Monthly + Performance-Based Incentives Experience: 3 – 5 years Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer (Sales Expert) to join a dynamic real estate and construction organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding the client base, and building strong strategic relationships. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional with strong market insight, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for delivering value in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive insights. Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's client base. Initiate and manage sales calls, meetings, and negotiations with prospective clients, investors, and partners. Develop compelling proposals, close deals, and negotiate contracts effectively. Implement lead generation strategies to ensure a consistent pipeline of prospects. Set, track, and achieve monthly and annual sales targets in alignment with company objectives. Client & Relationship Management Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with clients, partners, and investors. Accompany clients during property inspections, providing professional advice on value, suitability, and investment potential. Advise property owners and sellers on strategies to improve property appeal and accelerate sales. Deliver exceptional client service to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. Strategy, Marketing & Reporting Promote properties through strategic marketing campaigns and targeted advertising initiatives. Analyze sales performance data and market trends to inform business growth strategies. Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, and investment pitches. Support the development of annual sales strategies and achievement of monthly targets. Develop detailed business plans backed by market research and accurate reporting. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in Business Development or Sales, preferably within real estate or construction. Strong negotiation, sales, and client relationship management skills. Good understanding of the Lagos real estate market and industry dynamics. Proven ability to work independently and take initiative. Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct. Preferred Experience in market research and business intelligence. Prior exposure to marketing within real estate, architecture, construction, or design sectors. Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
