Director of Engineering – Web3

We are seeking a Director of Engineering – Web3 to lead and scale our engineering organization while driving the development of secure, scalable, and innovative blockchain-based solutions. This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, architectural expertise, and strategic vision in Web3 and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-performing engineering teams, defining technical direction, and ensuring alignment between business goals and engineering execution. Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership & Strategy Lead, manage, and scale engineering teams across Web3 and backend systems Define and execute the technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap Establish engineering best practices, standards, and governance Blockchain & Product Development Oversee development of blockchain-based solutions , including: Wallets Tokenization platforms Smart contracts Decentralized applications (dApps) Ensure system security, scalability, and performance optimization Architecture & Systems Design Design and review scalable distributed systems architecture Ensure alignment with cloud infrastructure and modern engineering practices Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with product, design, and leadership teams to align technical execution with business objectives Act as a bridge between engineering and business stakeholders Delivery & Execution Drive Agile methodologies and ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones Monitor team performance, delivery timelines, and technical quality Team Development & Culture Mentor engineers and engineering managers Build a high-performance, ownership-driven engineering culture Support hiring and team expansion initiatives Innovation & Emerging Technologies Stay updated with trends in Web3, Blockchain, AI, and emerging technologies Drive innovation and continuous improvement across engineering practices Required Qualifications 12+ years of experience in software engineering , including leadership roles Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams Strong expertise in Web3 / Blockchain technologies Experience designing and implementing scalable distributed systems Strong understanding of system architecture and cloud infrastructure Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Technical Skills Smart Contracts (Solidity or similar) Ethereum / EVM or other blockchain ecosystems Tokenization, wallets, and decentralized systems Distributed systems architecture Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Good to Have Exposure to AI / Machine Learning systems Experience with DeFi, NFTs, or Web3 ecosystems Hands-on experience with DevOps and automation tools Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment Soft Skills Strong leadership and decision-making ability Strategic thinking with execution focus Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work across cross-functional teams Strong ownership and accountability mindset What We're Looking For A decisive leader who takes ownership and drives outcomes A visionary thinker who can translate ideas into execution Someone who can effectively bridge business goals with technical strategy Passion for building in Web3 and emerging technologies Position : Director of Engineering – Web3 Location : Onsite/Remote Experience : 12+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time About TekHQS TekHQS is a global technology and AI-driven solutions company delivering scalable SaaS, Cloud, AI/ML, Blockchain/Web3, DevOps, and enterprise software solutions to startups and enterprise clients worldwide.
