This role involves hands-on, physically active work including refuse and recycling collection, landscaping, and general labor duties across multiple worksites in the Rockville, Maryland area. Key Responsibilities Assist with assembling, cleaning, labeling, and organizing equipment used in recycling and waste collection programs Collect and load refuse, recycling materials, yard debris, and bulk items into collection vehicles Support the safe operation of collection equipment and assist drivers during route services Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, raking, shoveling, and general cleanup Ride on collection trucks and assist with route-based service operations while following safety protocols Maintain the cleanliness of work areas by picking up debris and ensuring equipment is properly cleaned and stored Follow all safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, and job site instructions Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with team members and the public Requirements Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and move heavy materials (50–100 lbs), stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Safety Gear: Must provide and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including: Safety-toed boots (ASTM F2413 compliant) High-visibility safety vest (ANSI Class 2) Work gloves and safety glasses (ANSI Z87.1 compliant) Rain gear as needed Screening: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to designated reporting locations Work Schedule Day shift (typically early morning start) Full-day shifts with consistent weekly scheduling Overtime may be available based on operational needs Additional Information Safety is a top priority—strict adherence to all safety protocols is required Employees must report to work fit for duty and ready to perform assigned tasks This position requires punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team How to Apply Interested candidates should apply through the job portal .
