Software Automation Engineer (Release Efficiency)

We are looking for a solution-oriented and driven Software Automation Engineer to improve efficiency in software release and documentation processes. The role focuses on reducing manual work through automation, enhancing data handling, and improving overall quality in software delivery flows. You will work closely with release managers and cross-functional teams to identify improvement areas and implement scalable automation solutions across the release lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Design and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency in software release processes Reduce manual activities related to data collection, validation, and reporting Collaborate with domain experts to understand workflows and translate them into automated solutions Improve quality and consistency of software baseline releases Develop scripts and tools for data processing, validation, and system integration Enhance and extend existing platforms, focusing on reuse and standardization Integrate systems and tools using APIs Support documentation and automation workflows (e.g., Confluence integration) Explore opportunities to leverage AI/ML for workflow optimization Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Experience in software development with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, .NET, or similar) Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) Familiarity with artifact management tools (e.g., Git, Artifactory) Experience with APIs and system integrations Strong understanding of automation, data handling, and validation Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience in embedded systems or automotive domain Exposure to AI/ML tools or interest in applying AI for process improvements Experience with GUI development Familiarity with Confluence automation via APIs Nice-to-Have Skills Knowledge of software release and configuration processes Experience with change management and release workflows Familiarity with structured documentation and system traceability Key Competencies Problem-solving and analytical thinking Proactive and solution-driven mindset Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Continuous improvement mindset Ability to challenge existing processes and suggest better solutions
