CNC Machine Operator II Location: Vernon, CT Schedule: Full-Time Pay Range: $26.00 – $34.00/hour (based on experience) The CNC Machine Operator II will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines , including lathes, mills, multi-turret, and mill-turn equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, multi-turret, and mill-turn machines Work with HAAS, Okuma, and/or Fanuc controls Perform both standard and complex machine setups Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) Make program edits and adjustments as needed Create, grind, and maintain tooling Operate multiple machines simultaneously when required Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Follow written procedures and document process changes General Expectations Work independently with minimal supervision Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy Follow all safety and operational procedures Communicate effectively with team members and leadership Support production demands, including overtime when needed Required Qualifications 3+ years of CNC machining experience 3–5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills Experience with HAAS, Okuma, and/or Fanuc controls Strong blueprint reading skills Proficiency with precision measurement tools Ability to perform complex setups independently Solid shop math skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel U.S. Citizenship required Preferred Experience High-mix, high-setup manufacturing environments Operating multiple machines simultaneously Experience with mill-turn and multi-turret equipment Ideal Candidate Detail-oriented and quality-focused Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills Comfortable in a fast-paced production setting Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting ability Team-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and organization BestLogic Staffing is a Top Staffing Firm that's partnered with some of the largest names in various industries.
