About the Role A highly regarded California family law boutique is seeking an experienced Family Law Partner to join its growing team. The ideal attorney has a strong high‑net‑worth divorce practice, a portable book of business, and deep experience with complex property and support issues. This role is designed for a partner who values high‑quality work, reasonable billable expectations, and a collaborative, low‑ego culture. Responsibilities Lead and manage complex family law matters, including: Dissolution of marriage and legal separation Complex asset and debt division (e.g., businesses, equity compensation, real estate, and cryptocurrency) Child custody and visitation, support, and move‑away cases Premarital and postmarital agreements Serve as first chair in hearings, mediations, and trials, including direct and cross‑examination, motion practice, and settlement conferences. Develop case strategy and oversee associates, paralegals, and support staff on assigned matters. Originate and manage client relationships, including intake, strategy counseling, and ongoing communication with high‑net‑worth individuals and business owners. Collaborate with forensic accountants, valuation experts, and other professionals on complex financial issues. Contribute to firm development through mentorship, practice development, and participation in professional organizations.
