About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Debt Collector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, communicating with customers, and negotiating repayment solutions. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling a high volume of communication, has strong problem-solving skills, and is driven to achieve measurable results. Key Responsibilities Contact customers via phone, email, and written communication regarding outstanding balances Negotiate repayment plans and settlements based on customer situations Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities Conduct research to locate customers and verify contact information (skip tracing) Review account details and assess repayment ability Provide professional and empathetic customer service while resolving payment issues Ensure all collection activities comply with company policies and applicable laws Prepare reports on collection progress and account status Collaborate with internal teams and management on escalated cases Qualifications Previous experience in collections, customer service, call center, or related field preferred Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to handle a high volume of calls and tasks efficiently Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment Basic computer skills (CRM systems, databases, or similar tools Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay: $18–$20/hour (based on experience) Performance-based incentives / bonuses available Health, Dental, and Vision insurance Full-time position with stable working hours Opportunity to grow within a performance-driven environment Work Schedule Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Occasional schedule adjustments may be required, including one Saturday shift per month (approximately 4 hours) or late shifts (e.g., 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM) as needed Why Join Us Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunity to directly impact company performance Clear performance metrics and reward system Stable and growing organization
