Art Technician – Creative Secondary School – Brighton and Hove Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Technician to join a vibrant and well-resourced secondary school in Brighton and Hove. This is an exciting opportunity to support a thriving art department and contribute to an inspiring creative environment. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality art lessons by preparing materials, maintaining equipment and assisting with practical activities. You will play a key role in ensuring that the department is well organised, safe and fully equipped to support student creativity. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for art and a strong understanding of materials and techniques. You will work closely with teaching staff and students, supporting a wide range of artistic activities and projects. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and organise art materials and equipment • Support practical lessons and student projects • Maintain art studios and ensure health and safety compliance • Assist with displays and exhibitions • Manage stock and order supplies • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons Requirements • Degree or experience in Art or a related discipline • Experience working in a school or creative environment (desirable) • Strong practical knowledge of art materials and techniques • Excellent organisational skills • Ability to work collaboratively • Commitment to supporting student creativity Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible
