Head of Finance

Location: Hybrid - Birkirkara, Malta (3 days per week in office) Reporting to Co-Founders Your mission Lead the establishment and growth of a finance department by developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the company's goals & building and mentoring a team. Identify and mitigate financial risks and establish comprehensive risk management policies and procedures. Take charge of budgeting and forecasting processes, actively monitoring financial performance. Oversee the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards. Ensure strict compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements, staying updated on changes and adapting policies accordingly. Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the existing finance team, fostering a collaborative work environment. Offer strategic advice to the executive team, highlighting financial implications and contributing to informed decision-making. Foster cross-functional collaboration by working closely with other departments, understanding their financial needs Cultivate positive relationships with external partners, including auditors, regulators, and financial institutions. What we’re looking for: Proven senior financial management experience in the iGaming industry. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A relevant professional qualification, with eligibility to sign financial statements in Malta. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, providing valuable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and industry best practices. Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities. Interest in crypto (this is a must). Bonus points: Proven track record managing the full suite of crypto transactions, including crypto swaps, FX, and treasury flows, with practical experience operating and controlling non-custodial wallets.
