Mid-Senior Level Legal Associate - Health Care Practice Group

About the Company A leading national law firm is seeking a mid-senior level Associate to join its premier Health Care Practice Group , supporting the Telemedicine & Digital Health Industry Team . About the Role The Associate will support the Health Care Practice Group with a focus on telemedicine, digital health, and health innovation matters. This role involves advising health care-focused clients on federal and state health care regulatory frameworks as they apply to transactions, as well as drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sophisticated legal documents. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing complex legal matters, engaging directly with senior partners and clients, and working across a diverse client base that includes emerging companies and large national organizations. This position also requires strong collaboration skills, sound judgment, and a willingness to mentor junior associates while contributing meaningfully to the strategic goals of the broader practice group. This position may be based in Tampa, Florida (preferred) or in any of the following offices: Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, Nashville, New York, Orlando, Raleigh, or Salt Lake City . Requirements 4–6 years of health care regulatory and transactional experience required; up to 8 years will be considered Strong background working with health care-focused clients Deep knowledge of federal and state health care regulatory frameworks as they apply to health care transactions Experience in health innovation, telemedicine, and digital health preferred Prior work with telemedicine or digital health companies preferred Sophisticated drafting, writing, and communication skills Ability to manage complex matters independently and collaboratively Strong professionalism, initiative, and work ethic Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services Ability to mentor junior associates and work effectively with senior partners and clients Strong academic credentials required AmLaw 100 experience preferred, but not required JD from an ABA-accredited law school required Active membership in good standing with the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice Timely admission to the Bar of the hiring office's state is a condition of employment
