Remote | Accounting & Audit Expert — $500–$1K (One time)

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced accounting and audit professionals with strong expertise in financial reporting, audit workflows, tax, regulatory compliance, and real-world accounting operations. This role supports an exciting collaboration with a leading AI research laboratory focused on developing and evaluating advanced AI systems designed to replicate complex accounting workflows across Corporate Accounting, Audit, Tax, and Financial Reporting. Selected professionals will help evaluate AI-generated accounting outputs, simulate and review real-world accounting workflows, provide domain-specific feedback on financial materials, and contribute expert insight that improves the quality, accuracy, and reliability of advanced accounting-focused AI systems. Key Responsibilities Professionals in this role may contribute to: Accounting Output Evaluation & Compliance Review Evaluate AI-generated accounting outputs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory frameworks Review outputs across financial reporting, audit, tax, and management reporting scenarios Apply strong technical judgment to identify inaccuracies, omissions, or compliance issues Workflow Simulation & Process Review Calibrate AI decision-making processes in tasks such as journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and variance analysis Simulate and audit workflows related to the financial close process, consolidations, tax filings, and internal controls Help ensure workflows reflect real-world accounting practice and operational logic Domain Feedback & Documentation Provide domain-specific feedback on AI-generated financial statements, disclosures, audit working papers, and management reports Distill complex accounting concepts into clear, actionable guidance for technical and non-technical stakeholders Collaborate asynchronously with product and AI teams to refine systems based on accounting best practices and real-world scenarios Ideal Profile Strong candidates may have: 4+ years of professional accounting experience Experience at top-tier public accounting firms, Fortune 500 corporate finance or accounting departments, or in specialised areas such as government, nonprofit or fund, forensic, or international and cross-border accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field Strong technical accounting proficiency, including GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant reporting or regulatory frameworks Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, month-end close, account reconciliations, revenue recognition, lease accounting, consolidations, and internal controls Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills Preferred qualifications Master's degree in Accounting or MBA with an accounting concentration Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, or ACCA Experience in forensic accounting, government accounting, nonprofit or fund accounting, or cross-border accounting Familiarity with audit working papers, SEC filings, management reporting, and advanced close processes Ability to apply accounting expertise to structured review, calibration, and workflow evaluation tasks Why This Opportunity Contribute accounting and audit expertise to a cutting-edge AI collaboration Help improve how advanced AI systems handle real-world accounting workflows Apply technical accounting knowledge across high-impact evaluation and calibration work Flexible remote work with strong task-based compensation potential Contract Details Independent contractor role Fully remote with flexible scheduling Part-time commitment of approximately 15 hours per week Project duration of approximately 2 weeks, with potential for expansion One-time task-based compensation of approximately $500–$1K per completed task, subject to change as the project evolves Weekly performance bonus available for top performers Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution Please note: We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time Start date: Immediate Application process includes resume submission, application form, AI interview, and a paid 6-hour work trial About the Platform This opportunity is available through a leading AI-driven work platform that connects domain experts with frontier AI research projects.
